Libri Könyvkereskedelmi Kft. was established in 1991 as the successor of the State Book Distribution Company. The company has continuously developed and expanded its legacy store network and organisational structure, and now employs more than 600 people. The libri.hu webshop and the dynamically growing turnover have made Libri one of the leading booksellers in the country.
In recent years, the company has received numerous awards and accolades that have confirmed its success in the market. It has repeatedly won the title of Bookseller of the Year, as voted by publishers and book industry representatives, and has received the Hermes Award of the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage. During the reconstruction of the Skála Metró Office Building, our company's glass and mobile partitioning systems were used in the Libri office plans with the collaboration of MINIMALISMO Tervező és Szolgáltató Kft. and Skála-Metró Zrt.
MINIMALISMO Kft. is a Hungarian-owned architectural engineering company founded in 2007.
Skála-Metró Zrt. was founded in 2019 and its main activity is the rental and operation of owned or leased real estate. The company is responsible for the development and operation of the Skála Metró Office Building and has contributed to the renewal and modernisation of the building. It also leases office space, meeting the needs of tenants of modern office and retail space.
The office building was opened on 28 April 1984, originally as a large department store and was the second largest department store of the Skála-Coop cooperative group founded by Sándor Demján. The building is located on Nyugati Square in Budapest and houses several functions, including offices, retail units and cultural spaces.
The Libri office in the Skála Metró building was designed with SIMO glass wall products and a mobile wall. Our client chose our SIMO Rapid single-layer glass partitioning system for the project.
The meeting rooms and office spaces are covered with clear glass walls with sound-absorbing safety glazing and anthracite-coloured profiles, with the special feature of a solid door module in the glass walls, which closes flush from the corridor side, which is also a unique solution on the domestic market.
We installed a MULTIWAL Select 100 K type semi-automatic mobile wall with concealed top tracking between the meeting rooms, with high sound insulation according to the customer's requirements. The mobile wall is a particularly advantageous choice for meeting rooms, as it allows the space to be quickly and efficiently reconfigured. The semi-automatic operation helps to secure the elements easily and stably, eliminating the need for physical effort and lengthy adjustment.
